Introduction to Italic Calligraphy
In this 3-hour workshop you will learn the basic italic (cursive) letterforms and you’ll be introduced to elegant edged-pen calligraphy. You will learn about calligraphy tools, tips and techniques and you’ll receive a list of resources for further study. You can also use these tools as a basis for improving your everyday handwriting.
No art experience necessary.

How it will work on Zoom
Shortly before the class, Sally will email a packet of handouts which we will cover in class. You will also receive a Zoom link to enter the class.
What you’ll need
Fine Sharpie non-bleed black pen OR black Micron Pigma pen, 3.0
Pilot Parallel Pen, size 2.4 (yellow/orange cap)
Paper (2 types, available on Amazon or at Office Depot)
Pad of Canson Marker paper
Xerox Professional Quality Bond paper
