Sumi: Make a Brush, Carve a Chop
In this 3-hour workshop, you will create your own Sumi bucktail brush with a black bamboo handle. Your brush will be one-of-a-kind special, with its own unique mark- making attributes. You will also learn to carve a chop—your own personal signature stamp for your art creations. Brushmaking materials supplied in a kit.
Class will be limited to 20.
No art experience necessary.

How it will work on Zoom:
Two weeks before class, Sally will mail a kit with all the brushmaking materials, except the glue. You will supply the items below. Just before class, you will receive an email with the instructions and a Zoom link to enter the class.
Note: Participants outside the U.S. will be asked to pay for postage on the kit mailing.
Supplies:
You will supply the following
Waterproof glue (e.g., Loctite Clear Silicone glue, Barge cement or any marine glue)
Pentel White Hi-Polymer Eraser or Moo carving block
Waycom Rubber Stamp Making Kit (on Amazon)
Versafine Clair Stamp Pad, Tulip Red
All other project materials will be provided in the kit mailing.
