In this 2.5-hour workshop, you will learn to create a pleated scroll—a folded book form that, when opened, stretches out to a long wall hanging. The pleated scroll is ideal for displaying quotes and artwork, or sending wishes, poems or letters to friends and family. The covers are made with beautiful Japanese chiyogami paper and the book is bound with waxed linen thread and bead embellishments. A keepsake treasure!

How it will work on Zoom:

Two weeks before class, Sally will mail a kit of materials to make three pleated scrolls. A day or two before class, she will email the handouts (instructions) and a Zoom link to enter the class.

Supplies:

You will supply the following

• Scissors

• Awl

• Double-stick tape

• Masking or artist tape

• Cutting mat, X-acto knife

• Optional: small #12 crochet hook

All other materials are supplied in the kit.
