In this 3-hour workshop, you will make four different pieces of “hanging art”— a multiple-piece mobile, a “piano hinge” hanging piece, a pleated scroll, and a Japanese tanzaku hanging strip. All the pieces include bead embellishments. Sally will offer suggestions for decorating your hanging gems.

How it will work on Zoom:

Two weeks before class, Sally will snail-mail a packet of materials for making the pieces. You will also receive an email a day or two before class with instructional handouts and the Zoom link for entering the class.

Supplies:

• Pencil, metal ruler, scissors, x-acto or craft knife, cutting board, bone folder, awl

• Double-stick tape, glue stick, big-eye needle

• Optional: any small pieces of art or photos for decorating your hanging pieces.
