Description:
In this 2.5-hour workshop, you’ll learn to create beautiful little art masterpieces, perfect for holiday cards, mobiles and oversized gift tags, using acrylic paint, layering techniques, and several forms of metallic “bling.” You will create 24 (or more!) sparkling, 2” x 2” “mini masterpieces” to place on greeting cards and several other uses (card templates provided). No art experience necessary.

Supplies:
1. 2 or 3 Sheets 9 x 12 or 11 x 14 watercolor paper
2. 2 or 3 sizes black Sharpie pens (permanent, not water-based)
3. At least 3 colors acrylic paint (hard body, in tubes) Note: Think about your favorite color palette, or maybe red, green and yellow ochre for a holiday theme; my favorite palette for this is Alizarin Crimson, Prussian Blue and Yellow Ochre.
4. Small 6-well palette and a plastic or ceramic plate at least 8” in diameter
5. 2” foam brush
6. Small flat paintbrush (#2 or #4)
7. White fluid acrylic paint in needle-nose applicator (Best: Fineline applicator, 20 guage, 0.5mm)
8. Stickles (brilliant gold)
9. Scissors, pencil, double-stick tape, sharp x-acto knife, metal ruler and cutting board (at least 8 x 10 or bigger)
10. Wide-mouth water container (e.g., yogurt container) and paper towel
