Description:
In this 2.5-hour workshop, you will create three “piano hinge” books—one with skewers for an external binding, and two reverse piano hinge books with the binding inside the book. These books require no stitching! We will explore various approaches and design ideas for creating these charming keepsake books. No art experience required
Includes mailed kit of materials: You will receive a snail-mail kit (it’s a dandy!) with all the makings for the three books. You’ll also receive an email with the instructional handouts.
Tools / Supplies:
• TOOLS: Scissors, metal ruler, X-acto or craft knife, bone folder, pencil, glue (e.g., PVA, YES or Nori paste, Tacky Glue) and glue brush, double-stick tape, binder clip, push pin, and an old catalog or phone book for gluing base
